ReBourne Recovery

I met Bash a few months ago and we got chatting. He shared his past struggles with addiction and how his own experiences led him to develop the ReBourne Recovery programme, including the steps that helped him find a way forward.

Having lost my brother to alcohol addiction just two years earlier, this was something I could deeply relate to. When Bash approached me about revamping his website, I knew it was a project I would be honoured to take on.

The work Bash does can make a profound difference to people and their families facing the devastating effects of addiction. I know only too well how painful it can be when someone you love cannot find the help that works for them.

I watched my brother's health deteriorate over the years. As a family, we did everything we could to help him, including rehab. He desperately wanted to stop drinking, but nothing worked and he always fell back to it. Understanding how someone could want so much to stop, yet still be unable to, was something we all really struggled to deal with and understand even to this day.

Bash brings a different perspective to recovery, drawing on his own lived experience and exploring aspects that can sometimes be overlooked. I find myself wondering whether meeting him earlier might have made a difference for my brother. Perhaps it would have, perhaps not. There is no way to know.

What I do know is that Bash's commitment to helping others is deeply admirable. I support him wholeheartedly and feel honoured to have played a part in helping him share his work and revamp his branding and website.

As well as the website, I created the logo and branding for ReBourne Recovery. The logo carries the whole story in one mark: phoenix wings, drawn from the idea of rising from the ashes, with a sunrise behind them to represent the dawn of a new day. It is a quiet, hopeful symbol for what recovery actually feels like. Something ending, and something beginning again.

The colours, type and feel of that identity now carry through every page, so the site reads as one calm, considered thing rather than a collection of separate parts.

For a service built on trust, that consistency matters. People searching for help are often taking a difficult first step, and a brand that feels steady and genuine makes that step a little easier.
